In this work, Tommy Kwak photographed the waves off the coast of the Faroe Islands while on a boat. The sense of movement remains present in the image, though the waves have become abstracted against the emerald tones and sea foam of the water.
Tommy Kwak, b. 1979, Illinois, grew up outside of Chicago and now works in Brooklyn. His work has been shown in New York City and Iceland.
