Untitled (Mexico City), 2012

Well known for her elliptical comics, Aidan Koch’s pieces tend to capture the emotional tenor of a scene through small, meticulously observed details and gestures. Koch works directly and intuitively, allowing the narratives to form throughout her process then adjusts accordingly. This set of sketches was created for stamps while Koch spent time in Mexico City.
