Exhibit F - Yellow, 2014

Employing a serial process, Nicholaus Jamieson samples and resamples lines and marks to create compositions that trouble the distinction between mechanics and gesture. His large scale drawings are made using a unique process he developed in which lengths on industrial chalk are stretched across the paper and then pinched and released to create coloured lines and clouds of chalk. The resulting compositions are minimal abstractions that reference industrial building materials and forms.

Nicholaus Jamieson, b. 1982, Wisconsin, is an artist and designer who lives and works in New York City. His work has been shown in solo and group exhibitions at McKenzie Fine Art, Ed Varie, Blue Sun, Procell, and Space Architects, New York.
