In this series of work, Rachel Domm brings beloved pasta varieties to larger-than-life proportions. Her lively hues and shapes lend a sculptural quality to the pasta, enlivening the everyday object. In her practice, Domm considers how our sense of self is connected to mundane items and objects that we create by hand.
Rachel Domm, b. 1982, Georgia, is an artist living and working in Queens, New York. She has exhibited in both solo and group shows, including those at Underdonk, Essex Flowers, George Gallery, Picture Room, and Printed Matter. She has published artist books with Miniature Garden (New York) and Nieves (Zurich, Switzerland).
