Artist Emily Johnston records the intimacies of our relationships to each other and our environments. In this work, Johnston’s composition brings forth both visceral and sculptural elements of ice on a wall cut from stone to level the land for a road.
Emily Johnston lives and works in New York. She grew up between the U.S. and Paris—an experience that has deeply informed her work. Reflections on gestures, rituals, objects, and spaces quietly emerge in her photographic practice.
