In her work, Yoonjung Shim explores abstract and geometric forms in various types of etchings, typically in a square format. Herringbone reflects her ongoing interest in architecture and interior design. Shim depicts everyday patterns in which subtle inconsistencies and originalities can be seen within her strokes, differing from computerized graphics.
Yoonjung Shim, b. 1972, Seoul, South Korea, is a printmaker based in London. She is a member of Southbank Printmakers & Printmakers Council.
