This print reflects Elliot Camarra’s intimate study of personal objects, of which she has noted, “I'm inspired by a relationship with objects on the other side of materialism — the things that people hold onto / heirlooms when formerly useful objects are saved and become icons.” This piece features a delicately rendered image of a doll looking in a mirror. In addition to prints, the artist works in multiple mediums, including sculpture, film, painting, and photography.
Elliot Camarra, lives and works in New York. She received a BFA in printmaking at The Rhode Island School of Design, while also studying literature, philosophy, French, American Studies, and studio arts at Brown University and Mount Holyoke College.
