Please join Picture Room and The Song Cave as we celebrate the publication of two new books by two wonderful poets. Visiting from St. Paul, Minnesota, Dobby Gibson will read from his new collection of poems Little Glass Planet (Graywolf, 2019) and New York-based poet and artist Emily Hunt will read from her new chapbook of poems Company (The Song Cave, 2019).

Dobby Gibson is the author of Polar (Alice James Books), which won the Alice James Award, Skirmish (Graywolf Press), and It Becomes You (Graywolf Press), which was a finalist for The Believer Poetry Award. His brand-new collection, Little Glass Planet (Graywolf Press) was named a top book for spring by BuzzFeed. The Washington Post calls the book “smart and crisp.” Gibson has received fellowships from the Lannan Foundation, the McKnight Foundation, the Jerome Foundation, and the Minnesota State Arts Board. He lives in St. Paul, Minnesota, where he is not an academic.

Emily Hunt’s works include the poetry collection Dark Green (The Song Cave, 2015); Cousins (Cold Cube Press, 2019), a photography book; Company (The Song Cave, 2019) and New Clouds (Floating Wolf Quarterly, 2013), both poetry chapbooks; and This Always Happens (Brave Men Press, 2013), a book of drawings and text.
