Dexter Sinister, On a Universal Serial Bus.*

Picture Room presents the launch of Dexter Sinister’s new book On a Universal Serial Bus.*, co-published by Roma Publications and Kunstverein München. Released in conjunction with Dexter Sinister’s latest solo exhibition of the same name, the publication contains a rich collection of the artists' writing about the four central projects on view. For the occasion, Chris Fitzpatrick, David Reinfurt (one half of Dexter Sinister), and Julie Peeters will discuss the works over a slow-motion video of the exhibition, currently installed at Kunstverein München in Munich, Germany.

Dexter Sinister, f. 2006 – 11, was a publishing collaborative based in New York City. Opened by David Reinfurt and Stuart Bailey, Dexter Sinister’s approach to creating work was a comment on the world of contemporary commercial publishing and the prevailing excess of the current art market.

Chris Fitzpatrick is the director of Kunstverein München, Germany. From 2012-2015, he was the director of Objectif Exhibitions, Belgium. Additionally, he has curated exhibitions and events in Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, Italy, Lithuania, Mexico, the Netherlands, and the United States.

Julie Peeters is a graphic designer based in Brussels. She primarily collaborates with artists on printed matter and designs identities for cultural institutions worldwide, including Kunstverein München, where she co-edits its new quarterly book series. Peeters teaches graphic design in KASK and Gerrit Rietveld Academy.
