Mental by Quintessa Matranga

Mental collects a suite of drawings on business cards lifted from the Comme des Garçons store in Chelsea. Moving comfortably back and forth between critique and tribute, the book is anchored by the persistent regularity of the brand's logo; undercut and adorned by Matranga's surreal and playful drawings.

At the launch, five special edition copies of Mental will be available with hand drawn Comme des Garçons business card bookmarks scented with Comme des Garçons 2 perfume (purportedly inspired by the scent of black ink). Mental is the first book published by Poppy’s, a bi-coastal exhibition and publishing project organized by Nino Galluzzo and Marc Matchak.
