There Is Something Wrong With A Lot of People, Right?

On view for the first time is a collection of works by Todd Colby, made during his recent residency at Governor’s Island. Presented by Picture Room, these poems, collages, and drawings use sharp tongued humour to amplify and undercut our everyday experiences. For the occasion, named after one of the artist’s new rubber stamp pieces 'There Is Something Wrong With A Lot of People, Right?,' Colby will read a few of his poems at Picture Room alongside poets Emily Skillings and Danniel Schoonebeek.

Todd Colby, b. 1962, is a Brooklyn-based artist and writer. Colby’s sixth book of poetry, Splash State, was published by The Song Cave in 2014. He was also one of the participating artists in the MoMA PS1 exhibition Greater New York (2015).
